Rotary President Phillip Rosser made the presentations for Melbourne Citizen of the Year to Michael Sephton
The Ray Gill Award for services to young people went to Mark Rotherham.
Donations for the Melbourne Infant School's new library and the Senior Citizens new flooring were presented to Margaret Sharp, Chairman.
A cheque for £2,142 raised specifically from the 'Rainbows Challenge' was also presented to Caroline Rossin, fundraising Manager for the Rainbows Hospice.

The location in Jack's Cafe is quite small and with the number of people present it presented a few challenges in taking the images during the presentation itself.
In hindsight, I would have been better to have arranged to complete the presentation photographs either before the event or after, however, not having arranged this in advance some of the award winners had already left at the end before I had a chance to organise it. I need to direct the people more forcefully in order to keep control over the images. The first picture I took, (top of the page) I did not manage to do this, however for the subsequent images they were asked to pose for the camera, this resulted in an improvement in composition of the image and less shadowing on the back wall.
Having said this, the images were perfectly acceptable for the paper.

Canon 50d camera, hand held, with a EX430mark II Flash.
